SharePoint 2007 Training Classes

SharePoint Solutions hands-on training courses on Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 (MOSS 2007) and Windows SharePoint Services v3 - led by expert instructors and tailored to your learning style.

Upgrading to SharePoint 2007 is aimed primarily at IT Pros who are responsible for upgrading their current SharePoint 2003 installations to MOSS 2007.  This 3-day class simulates the challenges that real-world SharePoint administrators face in upgrading their production SharePoint deployments, exposing the pitfalls inherent in such an undertaking.  The course teaches the recommended best practices in terms of pre-upgrade tasks, automated tasks, and post-upgrade tasks, and offers you the benefit of “practicing” an upgrade on a significantly customized existing SPS 2003 deployment.

SharePoint 2007 Jump-Start is aimed primarily at IT Pros who are responsible for installing, implementing, and administering a SharePoint 2007 environment.  This 3-day course begins with a Windows Server 2003 environment, and focuses on all of the steps necessary to install and configure SharePoint properly in a single server farm.  Once SharePoint is up and running, students learn basic administration, and the core functionality of SharePoint 2007, so they can begin implementing basic sites and portals.

Applying SharePoint 2007 - MOSS Core Features is the first course in a two-part series.  Aimed at planners and designers, this 4-day course is the first non-technical course on MOSS 2007 and WSS v3.  The course focuses on the core features and functionality included in SharePoint 2007, how to use them, and how to plan and design for them.  This course covers the core features that are common to both Windows SharePoint Services v3 and Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) 2007.  The second course in the series, Applying SharePoint 2007 - MOSS Advanced Features, covers the additional features that MOSS 2007 brings to SharePoint 2007 deployments.

Applying SharePoint 2007 - MOSS Advanced Features is the second course in a two-part series.  Aimed at planners, designers, and IT Pros this 3-day course covers the exciting new advanced features that are included with MOSS 2007 Standard and Enterprise editions.  Some of the new features covered include Web Content Management, Records Management, Forms Services, Excel Services and the Business Data Catalog.

New classMission: Automation - SharePoint Workflow and InfoPath is aimed at information workers, power users, planners, designers, and IT Pros wanting to utilize SharePoint to automate business processes. This 3-day course covers using InfoPath 2007 to create forms, browser-enabling forms via Forms Server, and writing workflows with Workflow Designer in SharePoint Designer. Students also learn how to convert existing Word and Excel forms to InfoPath, use digital signatures, E-mail enabled forms, E-mail enabled lists in SharePoint, store InfoPath data in external databases, and how InfoPath forms work on mobile devices. NOTE: This course DOES NOT cover Visual Studio workflows.

"Extreme Makeover SharePoint 2007 Edition- Branding and Customization" is directed at Web Developers, Webmasters, and Power Users with Web Development experience.  The course focuses on branding SharePoint sites and portals. Students learn how to create custom themes, custom site templates and custom site definitions. They also learn how to customize sites the easy way using "features".

"BI Revolutions:  The MOSS Business Intelligence Toolset" is targeted at business intelligence professionals who need to understand how MOSS 2007 can be configured and used as the delivery mechanism for enterprise business intelligence.  The 3-day course teaches students how to integrate SQL Server Reporting Services and Excel 2007 Services with MOSS 2007 to achieve industrial-strength reporting and BI portals.  The course also covers KPIs and the many BI-related web parts that ship with MOSS.

All SharePoint Solutions training courses are written and taught by real-world SharePoint experts, and designed to impart real-world SharePoint skills, not just feed you information.
