SharePoint’s document management features – propelling organizations out of the "file share" age and into the age of real document management – have been one of the primary springboards to its widespread adoption. After clicking on one of these menu items, an intuitive, high-performance tree-view navigation system appears that allows the user to quickly navigate to any document library she has permissions to in any site in any SharePoint web application. In all drag and drop operations, WISDOM DMF preserves all metadata and version history as documents are moved from location to location. |

| Consistent and powerful handling of metadata for SharePoint document libraries |
| One of the most important requirements of a document management system is the ability to establish metadata capture rules for document stores. Native SharePoint provides all of the tools necessary to define the metadata requirements for document libraries, but does not finish the job by making sure that a consistent interface is provided throughout all applications that are used to create documents and save them to SharePoint. This results in a less than desirable user experience that eventually negatively impacts the quality of the metadata saved with documents because users get frustrated and "just want to get the document saved as quickly as possible". WISDOM DMF provides a consistent user interface for capturing metadata through all of the Office programs. It also is intelligent in applying existing metadata and prompting for missing metadata when documents are moved from one library to another. With WISDOM Message, it is as easy as dragging a message from your inbox and dropping it into a SharePoint document library directly from within the Outlook interface. And, WISDOM Message stores the email in MSG format which means that it can then be opened by others in Outlook.
