David Airapetyan
is a Computer Science graduate from McGill University in Montreal, Canada. He is
a Software Services Architect for Qdabra
Software.
David has over six years of industry
experience including almost five of them at Microsoft Corporation where he
shipped several versions of Microsoft Office InfoPath and was Senior Developer
on Office Forms Server. Originally from Russia, David is fluent in several
languages, including Russian, English, French, C#, C++ and Perl. He currently
resides in Montreal.

Owen Allen,

Owen is a
SharePoint Technology Specialist for Microsoft and has been with Microsoft for 5
years, focusing on Collaboration, Document Management, Web Content Management,
and Business Process Improvement. He consults to MSFT Customers in the
Northwestern US and has helped guide CMS and SharePoint implementations during
that time.
Prior to Microsoft, Owen worked for BroadVision; for DocTec Inc. (a now expired
start-up); as an SAP Consultant for Deloitte & Touche CG/ICS; and writing
software for the banking industry. Owen is also on the board of the Puget Sound
SharePoint Users Group.

Tony is a Sr.
Software Engineer and Instructor for SharePoint Solutions. He has been in
the IT industry for over 18 years. Prior to joining SharePoint Solutions,
Tony was a Project Manager, Ecommerce Team Leader and Enterprise Architect for HNI Corporation, makers of HON office products.
Tony is responsible for leading the
Software Division at SharePoint Solutions. Through his leadership,
SharePoint Solutions has provided the market with much-needed SharePoint add-ons
such as WSS Alert Manager, SPS Alert Manager, Documents for You Web Part and
Tasks for You Web Part.

Shiraz J.

Shiraz worked
for ten years at Microsoft in product design, usability, customer research, and
online marketing. For the first three releases of Microsoft InfoPath, he led
solutions design, Office application/server integration, product usability, and
IT solutions architecture.
Shiraz has started multiple for-profit
and non-profit businesses and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Tufts
University.

Dino Dato-on,

Dino Dato-on is
a SharePoint Architect for Microsoft. He has been with the company for 8 years
most of which has been spent on SharePoint since 2001. He has architected
and deployed SharePoint for many large enterprises such as Dell, Celanese,
Philips-Conoco, EDS, Exxon-Mobil, and AMD.
Previous to working with Microsoft, Dino has worked in the computer industry for
over 20 years developing and designing client-server applications using
Microsoft Technologies. He has written TechNet articles for Microsoft
related to SharePoint Technologies. His most recent published article is on
Social Networking for the Enterprise using Microsoft Office SharePoint
Server(MOSS) 2007 is available on MSDN. Dino and his family live in
Dallas.

Wendy Henry,

A Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT), Wendy has been an independent technical
trainer, author, and consultant for the last 10 years specializing in Microsoft
SQL Server since 1999 and SharePoint since 2005. Wendy is a contributing partner
on SharePoint-eLearning.com and teaches for SharePoint Solutions at the Chicago,
IL location.
The author of various proprietary courseware for leading technical education
centers, Wendy has also been called on to edit technical material by national
publishers such as McGraw-Hill and Microsoft Official Learning Products. Her
technical certifications include Microsoft (MCITP, MCTS, MCSE, MCT); Novell
(CNE, CNI) and Cisco (CUSE, CCNA). She also consults on Windows/ADS network
architecture and SQL/SharePoint design to several Fortune 500 companies.

Bryan is a
solution specialist with Microsoft Corporation focusing on Information Worker
solutions. Bryan was formally a product manager and marketing manager with Quest
Software.
He has a passion for using newer
technologies to communicate with coworkers and associates. He is a member of the
Nashville Technology Council and Young Leadership Council.

Ben Hutchins,

Ben is a senior
product manager with the LDS Church, has a
Masters Degree in Information Management from Syracuse University and has over
eight years of direct experience in the enterprise portal market.
Previously Ben worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers as an IT consultant and
instructor/course developer and then at Hewlett-Packard where he designed and
implemented the information architecture for HP's first enterprise corporate
portal. When HP merged with Compaq in 2002, noted as the largest IT merger in
history, Ben led the team responsible for migrating content from two distinct
Intranets to one "@hp" enterprise portal.
Ben was hired by the LDS Church in 2006 to replace/upgrade their Intranet and
they are now in the middle of a multi-phase rollout using SharePoint 2007.

Steve
Lugarini,

Steve has been with PricewaterhouseCoopers since 1998. Steve has a computer
science background and specializes in the development of “go to market” software
products and solutions for PwC. Steve is also a member of a group of seven
senior PwC global technology architects who manage the future direction of the
PwC technology Roadmap.
In 2001 Steve was a part of the IT management team which led a team of 40+
consultants/internal IT staff who architected and delivered the global PwC
enterprise portal. After the implementation of the PwC global enterprise portal,
he was responsible for the envisioning, design, development and implementation
of the Canadian PwC enterprise portal based on SharePoint.
Steve has held various positions with other corporations in the IT field since
1986. He was the IT Manager at a large multinational consumer goods manufacturer
and has also worked in the US as a software developer.

Terry Lutes,

Terry is the
Chief Information Officer for the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic
Opportunity. Prior to taking his current position, he was the CIO for the
Illinois Secretary of State.
Before joining state government he worked
as a Solutions Architect for numerous state and national public organizations,
specializing in the analysis of client needs, current systems, information
requirements and the formulation of solutions. Over the course of his
professional career, Terry has used his analytical skills to be an innovative
change agent for information ecosystem transformation.

Marc Milgrom is a Tax Partner with
PricewaterhouseCoopers.
He is the Canadian Knowledge Management leader, and a member of the firm’s
Canadian Leadership Group that manages the overall Canadian firm.
He is also a member of the
PricewaterhouseCoopers Global IT Council, advising on strategy, software and
e-business matters. His responsibilities include PwC Canada's enterprise portal
initiative and customer relationship management (CRM) program.

Kevin Pine, Vice President,

Kevin Pine is
Vice-president of SharePoint Solutions. He is a consultant, trainer and author
of articles, courseware and curriculum for SharePoint technologies.
In 2003, with several years of web
development experience, he turned to SharePoint and worked to develop strategies
for branding portals and collaboration sites, as well as creating custom
templates and site definitions. He authored the popular SharePoint training
course for web developers, Extreme Makeover: Portal Edition.
In addition to teaching SharePoint branding, Kevin has completed numerous
branding projects for companies such as MB Financial, Central Michigan
University, Sarah Cannon Research Institute and British Petroleum.

Asif is an
experienced Solution Architecture Consultant and Trainer from
Chicago specializing
in SharePoint Products and Technologies. He is a SharePoint Server MVP and holds the Microsoft Certified
Trainer (MCT) credential. He has been delivering SharePoint public and private
training for the past 3 years. Asif has extensive experience architecting and
developing solutions using both Windows SharePoint Services and SharePoint
Portal Server.
Over the course of several years, Asif has consulted for many companies in
Financial, Insurance and Telecommunication sectors. His list of clients includes
State Farm, CNA, Federal Home Loan Bank, NASA, Toshiba, Applied Systems,

Peter is a Search and Analytics Specialist at
Mondosoft/SurfRay based in Palo Alto, Calif. with 8 years of experience in
what works and what just confuses search users. He specializes in helping MOSS
Portal owners achieve and provide the search capabilities that their users
expect (from global search experience) to alleviate the all-too common trend of
frustration with search in SharePoint.
Great SharePoint search doesn't just come from the search engine. Peter's
communications background allows for attention to the important aspect of search
reporting (or analytics) to fully understand users' behavior and target Portal
content based on facts and demand, rather than guesswork.

Frank
Scanlan, Director, Internal

Frank serves as the director of Internal Communication for the Society for Human
Resource Management (SHRM). He joined SHRM in 2001 working in the Public Affairs
Department and managing the Media Affairs program. He served as the Society’s
spokesperson and was a team leader for the Society’s public relations efforts to
“advance the profession.”
SHRM was a natural fit for Scanlan, who earned his M.A. in Organizational
Communication and B.A. in Broadcast Journalism. His experience and education
give him a comprehensive understanding of workplace issues, particularly the
effective use of communication to develop strong working relations between
employers and employees.
Scanlan served as Deputy Communications Director for South Dakota Senator Tim
Johnson before working with SHRM. Prior to that, he was News Director of the
South Dakota Public Radio Network while obtaining his degree at the University
of South Dakota.

She has 14 years experience in the
marketing areas of financial services firms. She recently completed the design,
development and implementation of Sterne Agee's new public web site
(www.sterneagee.com) utilizing MOSS and SharePoint Designer.

Peter is a

He is a founding member of the Southeastern Michigan SharePoint Users Group and
is certified in both SharePoint and .Net. Peter is actively writing for Technet
and consults with enterprise organizations utilizing his five years working with
SharePoint.
Peter has worked for EDS and ePartners, Inc. as a consultant in the Electronic
Commerce group and Microsoft Dynamics group. At CDW Berbee his passion is in
communicating with the customer, presenting the technology, and delivering real
world solutions at an architect level. With a background as an English major,
Peter brings an unconventional background to his 20 years in IT. It is about
people, sharing, and communicating.

Rachel is a
Senior Associate in Project Performance Corporation’s internationally known
Knowledge Management practice. She specializes in the development and
configuration of knowledge management tools to serve users of all skill levels.
Her areas of expertise include taxonomy design, metadata strategy, and user
adoption strategy.
Rachel is also a web usability specialist with expertise in information
architecture, knowledge gathering, and systems design. Her clients include the
Department of Defense Finance and Account Service, Society for Human Resource
Management, and the Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of Information
Collection.

Ricky Spears,

Ricky
is an instructor and curriculum author for
SharePoint Solutions. Prior to joining SharePoint Solutions he worked as
the Senior Webmaster for Allegacy Federal Credit Union where he designed and
built the organization’s first intranet, and later migrated it to the SharePoint
platform. Ricky’s focus in business has always been on process improvement and
automation for both the employees of an organization as well as for their
customers.
Ricky’s personal mission statement is, “Empower. Challenge. Advance.” He says,
“The work we do every day is ultimately all about people. My goal is to use
technology, and my God given talents, to challenge and empower people so that
they can advance in every aspect of their life and business.”

Her background in web usability and expert skills in project strategy

for Human Resource Management. Jill has developed her own methodology in website

Paul is a Solutions Architect, Instructor, and Business Intelligence curriculum
author for SharePoint Solutions. He has been in the IT industry for over 20
years. Prior to joining SharePoint Solutions, Paul worked for several Top IT
companies such as Texas Instruments, Acer Computer, IBM and Nortel Networks.
During this time he served in positions as varied as OLAP Developer, Executive
Business Analyst, and Training Manager.
Paul is the course author and the primary instructor for BI Revolutions, the
Business Intelligence course taught at SharePoint Solutions. During his time at

Russell
Wright,

Russell
introduced SharePoint to Texas Instruments in 2002 while heading a systems group
in the Worldwide Procurement and Logistics area. His team assisted internal
users with obtaining significant business value from Windows SharePoint Services
and other Microsoft technologies for several years.
He and his wife, Laura, opened the Dallas
affiliate office of SharePoint Solutions and held the inaugural SharePoint
training class in April 2007. Russ continues to teach and inspire students with
