I was wondering. I am trying to come up with a way to create task items that will need to be created and based on custom column owners, have the documents confirmed and then an email sent to the an additional approver once the documentation has been supplied based on the name in another column. This is for sign off on the task item itself. Is there a way or best practice for this without using Infopath or custom additions? The workflow we currently have in our Sharepoint instances is only a 3 part one for emails to be sent based on change in a standard status column. I was wondering if there is anyway or best practice for this and also once the boxes for sign off are checked by the initial process owner a way to auto send an email to the second person in the additional approver column.
