    Event Calendar Issue (4 posts)

    I have 2 groups Member and Reader and I have different users in them. The problem is Administrator create a Calendar list and attached a publishing Workflow and Assign it to any member. But this event can see all members and Reader without any approval.

    Kindly help me out on this.

    Adnam, I think you mean everyone can see the event prior to approval.

    If you go int the calendar list settings -> Version settings

    set

    Yes – Require content approval of submitted items

    Optionally create a version of an event and if so, how many major or minor versions you want to keep.

    Draft item security:

    Only users who can approve items (and the author of the item)

    Obviously, you need to have a group with approval permissions if you haven't got one. That group can manually approve and event or via your OOTB SharePoint 2010 approval workflow. Once approved your members can further checkout to edit and your readers are at liberty to view the latest approved version….

    Thanks for your prompt reply. Half of the problem solved but when I Approved the event after that everyone must see it but anonymous users can not see it.

    I saw your id on sharepointsolutions and thought might be he can solve my issue and just sent the request. Nice to talk with you. Thansks once again your important time.
