  Sharepoint 2010 Search Service application – Help needed (3 posts)

  Hi,
  I have upgraded Sharepoint 2007 to 2010.From there onwads the search application is showing 'Internal server exception' while doing search.

  The reason for this is the Query component is stuck on 'initialzing' status.I tried to delete the existing search service and created one.But it is still stuck on initialzing.I tried to create search service using power shell aslo but result is same.Anyone have any idea to solve this issue.Thanks in advance

  When I try to install that the hotfix it says “ This update does not apply to your system”.

  Whether this 'Internal Server Exception' is anything related to the account permissions.Because i have upgraded sharepoint 2007 to sharepoint 2010.This sharepoint 2007 was developed by another person who is not here now.So if possible can you please explain what all permissions I do need to have for making the search to work.
